Storyteller and couple photographer Rachel Joy-Monet is like if you took the emotion of “joy” and created a human. She is such a magical ball of brilliant energy. I wish I could bottle all of her good vibes and spread them around like confetti everywhere I go. And on top of all that, she is an incredibly talented and beautifully gifted artist. I loved her process and her presence. Her creative vision was such an honor to be part of.

She invited us out to her brother’s gorgeous farm in Versailles, Kentucky and it was an absolute dream. We flowed through a couple different stories, each one unique and different from the other. The first shoot had this incredible vintage love story feel. Dancing and laughing in the tall grass, looking out over the hills, I felt like I was in an old European romance.

I love this session so much because it’s so unapologetically Rachel. She is a true artist and incorporated her art into our story. We got naked out in a field at twilight and then she painted on us in the dusty dark. I loved watching her in her element, creating something so uniquely her.
